Praise the Savior!

"...we thank you, and praise your glorious name."1 Chronicles 29:13"

My heart is overwhelmed with joy for the salvation I have in Christ Jesus! I am ever being made aware of how truly gracious He is each and every day.

The United States still stands, with glorious sunrises in spite of our sins and the way we turn our backs on him, how worthy of our praise and thanks is the Lord Jesus Christ!

He is the Lamb, the Savior who laid down his life for all. He longs for relationship with each and every one of us!

When I think of how merciful He is to heal us knowing full well our past and our futures, I am humbled by his love. The eyes he heals - knowing we may use them to lust, the dumb he heals - knowing we may curse, the hands he makes straight knowing we may use them to hurt another. How worthy is He, how worthy of our Praises!

SONG: Praise the Savior, Now and Ever
Words: Venantius Fortunatus (circa 530-609); translated by Augustus Nelson.

Praise the Savior now and ever;
Praise Him, all beneath the skies;
Prostrate lying, suff'ring, dying
On the cross, a sacrifice.
Vict'ry gaining, life obtaining,
Now in glory He doth rise.

Man's work faileth, Christ's availeth;
He is all our righteousness;
He, our Savior, has forever
Set us free from dire distress.
Through His merit we inherit
Light and peace and happiness.

Sin's bonds severed, we're delivered,
Christ has bruised the serpent's head;
Death no longer is the stronger,
Hell itself is captive led.
Christ has risen from death's prison,
O'er the tomb He light has shed.

For His favor, praise forever,
Unto God the Father sing;
Praise the Savior, praise Him ever,
Son of God, our Lord and King.
Praise the Spirit, through Christ's merit,
He doth us salvation bring.
