Mat 25:35 For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in

As many of you are viewing the happenings in the US, specifically Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Pensacola, FL, there are undoublty questions, concerns, frustration, anger and of course disbelief.

I need to say that while I do not understand the scoop of the situation that the aid workers have been faced with, I do believe we will be positioned to help all who have been devastated. Why do I believe this? Because we are America, because we are strong and because we can do more than just overcome when we pull together to help one another.

This is a time for those who believe in "love your neighbor as yourself" for those who say "I give to charity" for those who believe that their serving is a testament for their "goodness." Well, whatever your faith, whatever your social standing, whatever your color, race or nationality, this is the time that we who ALL call ourselves American's to bond together and show the world our true strength -- UNITY. Many on lookers are only hearing of our division and anger but let us show them our resolve and our ability to put our feelings aside to truly come together as a country to do what we do well for other countries in time of need: Help.

While it is very disappointing that we have not, to my knowledge, heard from other countries in the way of monetary support or supply support -- I am not surprised and trust that the Lord will provide for us in His way and in His timing.

We now must come together, conserve our resources and focus our attention on our fellow citizens. We now must come together and put action to our words - be the church - the hands, the feet, the minds, the hearts and of course the love. May we be examples to all who look on at our resourcefulness and our determination as we not only get through this tragedy, but to thrive as a nation, as a people.

If you are able to put up someone in your home, for even a day, contact your local church to let them know of your availability to help. Money of course is needed and donations can be made to FEMA, The Red Cross, Salvation Army and your local church. Please, let us come to the aid to those God has put in our path to help…and may God bless each and every one of us in this our time of trial.
