"A NEW YEAR, A NEW YOU"

Ah, a brand New Year! This is the time when lists are made for things you wish to change, remove or add to your life. Things like getting fit, starting a new hobby, quitting a bad habit, etc., you get the idea.

Those things sound great, but have you thought about a new you from the inside out? There are those places in all of us where only God knows what is going on, the private places in our heart and mind.

While the other undertakings may be worthy of your time and attention, the inside transformation that only the Lord can do should be at the top of your list.

Why? Because this transformation can impact all the other areas of your life, and well, the Bible instructs us that if we delight ourselves in the One who blesses, the blessings will follow.
The Lord desires us to direct our focus and attention toward Him.

As long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper. (2Chr
25:5b KJV)

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you. (Mt 6:33 KVJ)

When we do this, it opens us up for transformation by Him.

Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house
of Israel. (Jer 18:6b KJV)

So, in this New Year seek Him first, let Him transform you on the inside and before you know it, you'll see the changes on the outside!

Application: Ask yourself where you'll be directing your focus in 2006, outward change that is temporal or inward change that is everlasting
?
