WHEN LIFE HAPPENS

Eventually, in our day-to-day living, we will face various trials and tribulations--life in a fallen world. The Bible tells us to prepare for these times and protect ourselves by putting on the whole armor of God.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God,that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. --Ephesians 6:13 KJV

One of the forms of armor we have at our disposal is the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God (see Ephesians 6:17).

When we use Scripture from the Bible, we are speaking God's truth into our situation and thus collaborating with Him rather than undertaking the battles in our own strength.

You see, God has made provision for us so we need not fight the attacks we face on our own; we are to turn to Him.
No matter the concern, God is there for you, the child He loves.

In a time of fear:
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
--Psalm 27:1 KJV
In a time of trouble:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
--Psalm 46:1 KJV
In a time of sin:
Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
--Psalm 51:2 KJV
In a time of persecution:
My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
--Psalm 31:15 KJV

Apply It: Dig into Ephesians 6:13-18 and discover the other pieces of armor given to us by God, then pray them on each day.
