Mistakes and Forgiveness

William Blake:
It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend.

If you're human, you'll make mistakes. Sorry but it's true. I myself can attest to this first hand. Thankfully God in his wisdom made provision for us in the Bible.

Mat 18:21-22 Then Peter came up and said to him, "Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?"
Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.

Oh how glad I am that God knew I would hurt even those I call brother and need their forgiveness. Thank you Lord for accepting and knowing me as imperfect, needing grace along the way as I do this thing called the Christian walk. I am ever growing and changing as you continue to transform me into the person you desire me to be. Thank you Lord for the provision of forgiveness. May I strive to be more like you each day so that by me there is less hurt in the tomorrows.

Sitting at the Feet of Jesus

Sitting At The Feet Of Jesus
Words: J. H. (or J. H. T.), 19th Century.

Sitting at the feet of Jesus,
Oh, what words I hear Him say!
Happy place! so near, so precious!
May it find me there each day.
Sitting at the feet of Jesus,
I would look upon the past;
For His love has been so gracious,
It has won my heart at last.

Sitting at the feet of Jesus,
Where can mortal be more blest?
There I lay my sins and sorrows
And, when weary, find sweet rest.
Sitting at the feet of Jesus,
There I love to weep and pray,
While I from His fullness gather
Grace and comfort every day.

Bless me, O my Savior, bless me,
As I sit low at Thy feet.
Oh, look down in love upon me;
Let me see Thy face so sweet.
Give me, Lord, the mind of Jesus;
Make me holy as He is.
May I prove I've been with Jesus,
Who is all my righteousness.

Just wanted to let you all know that I will be taking a break for awhile. I will be doing what the words of this song so beautifully states -- sitting at the feet of Jesus. It is where my focus needs to be as much as possible right now. I encourage you to find some time in your day to do the same...

In His Peace...Chris
